It may not even be Thanksgiving yet, but if you're already sick of Rudolph, you can see what his fellow reindeer are up to in Jeff Goode's dark Christmas comedy, "The Eight: Reindeer Monologues," opening at AXIS Theatre tonight.

LTC To give you a little preview: In Goode's adults-only version, Comet smokes dope, Cupid is gay and Vixen is, well, a loose vixen. Brian Klaas directs a cast including Jennifer Brown, Stuart Goldstone, Jim Markiewicz, Mary Anne Perry, Michael Salconi, Steve Sawicki, Mary Ann Walsh and Brian Chetelat.

"The Eight: Reindeer Monologues" will be performed at AXIS Theatre, 3600 Clipper Mill Road, at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, with matinees at 2 p.m. Sunday, through Dec. 18 (no performances Nov. 22 or Nov. 26).
