'The Reluctant Dragon'

The medieval adventure story "The Reluctant Dragon" comes to life tomorrow at the Slayton House Theater in Columbia. Bob Brown Puppets and the Wilde Lake Community Association rTC present a comedic version of Kenneth Grahame's tale of a gentle dragon and the young boy who befriends him. After the story, medieval marionette characters perform to music in a cheerful variety segment. Show is geared toward preschool to elementary school-aged children.

The show takes place tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. and at 1 p.m. at the Slayton House Theater, Wilde Lake Village Green in Columbia. $4. Call 410-730-3987.

Celebrate the art of storytelling Saturday at area "Tellabration" events. "Tellabration" is a national event held the Saturday before Thanksgiving that presents storytelling concerts for children and adults.

At Western Maryland College, tales for preschoolers and elementary school-aged children will be told throughout the afternoon, while stories for ages 10 to adult will be spoken in the evening.

At the Elkton campus of Cecil Community College, tales of Civil ** War adventures, ghost stories and folk tales will be presented throughout the evening. Geared toward ages 8 to adult.

Both events take place Saturday. The Western Maryland College event begins at 11 a.m. in Hill Hall, 2 College Hill, Westminster. Free. The evening event begins at 7:30 p.m. in Lewis Hall. $2.
