Two teen-age girls arrested on drug charges

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Two Glen Burnie girls were arrested on drug charges Monday after an officer stopped their car for speeding near North Arundel Hospital and found marijuana in a pair of tennis shoes on the back seat, county police said.

Police said Officer Stephen Perron stopped a 1994 Chevrolet at Hidden Brook Drive and Elvaton Road about 9: 15 p.m. Perron and Officer Gavin MacCubbin searched the car with the driver's permission and found 11.3 grams of marijuana and a smoking pipe in the tennis shoes on the back seat, police said.

Police charged the girls, 16 and 17, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released to their parents.
