Condor Technology buys PowerCrew of Pa.

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Condor Technology Solutions Inc., an Annapolis technology consulting company, said yesterday that it has bought PowerCrew Inc. of Malvern, Pa., for an undisclosed amount.

Condor, which had $144 million in revenue last year, advises businesses on how to use and integrate computer systems. The company was looking to do more work with manufacturers, a market that privately owned PowerCrew served with its consulting business.

"With this [acquisition], we'll be able to direct additional business to other parts of our organization," said Dan Roche, Condor's president and chief operating officer.

Condor has 900 employees in the United States and Europe, about 100 of whom are based in Maryland. Roche said no job losses will result from the merger, which was closed Nov. 3 and went into effect immediately.

PowerCrew has 26 workers and has had about $4 million in revenue in the past 12 months.

Peter Duflo, PowerCrew's president and chief executive officer, said the merger gives his firm "working capital to grow."

Condor stock closed at $13 yesterday, unchanged.
