Police seek man targeting elderly women in Guilford 3 assaulted and robbed in October break-ins

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Baltimore police are seeking a man who has broken into three homes in the North Baltimore neighborhood of Guilford and robbed and assaulted elderly female residents.

Detective George Jennings of the robbery unit said the latest home-invasion robbery in the wealthy neighborhood occurred about 2 p.m. Wednesday when a man broke into a house in the 300 block of E. Cold Spring Lane, struck an 83-year-old woman in the face and robbed her of property.

Jennings said the woman was in guarded condition at Sinai Hospital yesterday.

On Oct. 20, a man broke into a house in the first block of York Court during the day and robbed a woman of property after striking her with an unknown blunt object, Jennings said.

He said a resident of Underwood Road was injured Oct. 13 when an intruder broke down her front door, which struck her when she neared the doorway, assaulted her and robbed her of property.

Jennings said the same man is believed to have been involved in all the incidents.

Anyone with information about the robber's description or identity is urged to call the robbery unit at 410-396-2636.
