The brigade of midshipmen, numbering 3,327, converged on Baltimore for the Navy-Cornell football game. They arrived at Clifton Park in buses before parading to the stadium. Cornell defeated Navy, 13-7. -- The Sun, Oct. 6, 1948.

A decision on a request for rezoning the Revell-Ritchie Highway junction from a commercial to agricultural zone was approved today by the Anne Arundel County commissioners. -- The Sun, Oct. 15, 1948.

The $37,500,000 Chesapeake Bay Bridge bond issue yesterday was offered for sale. Before the day was over, the entire $19,000,000 in 3.20-percent term bonds had been sold as well as nearly all the $18,500,000 in serial bonds. -- The Sun, Oct. 19, 1948.
