Health violations found at restaurants

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health temporarily closed the Szechuan Hot Wok, at 831 Nursery Road in Linthicum, Oct. 7 after a small fire. The restaurant reopened two days later.

Health workers inspected 120 restaurants and other food-service establishments from Oct. 1 to Oct. 15 and found 20 with critical food-safety violations that were immediately corrected. They found multiple violations at three places.

Wendy's at 1614 Annapolis Road in Odenton was faulted for cross-contaminating ready-to-serve food and for not holding food at the proper temperature. Denny's at 6621 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie and Karen's Collage at 580 Taylor Ave. in Annapolis were cited for not holding food at the proper temperature and for food workers who weren't practicing effective hand-washing.
