Anne Arundel bank is robbed hours before man arrested on Pa. charges

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A man charged with robbing two Philadelphia banks was arrested yesterday at his Middle River home, hours after he is accused of robbing a bank in Anne Arundel County, said a spokesman for the Baltimore FBI Office.

Special Agent Peter A. Gulotta Jr. said Frederick Gerard Coster, 51, of the first block of Cedar Drive at Walnut Grove Apartments was arrested by Baltimore County police, Harford County sheriff's deputies and Pennsylvania State Police on warrants charging him with robbing banks in Philadelphia, one Sept. 15 and another Oct. 15.

Gulotta said Coster is suspected of robbing Bank of Glen Burnie in the 8700 block of Fort Smallwood Road about 1 p.m. yesterday, a few hours before he was arrested.

He said Coster also is suspected of robbing the NationsBank in the 1000 block of Joppa Farm Road in Joppatowne, Harford County, on Tuesday.

Gulotta said a second man was arrested with Coster. Bank robbery charges were pending against that person, police said.
