Brethren Service Center employees honored for tenure

The Brethren Service Center in New Windsor recently honored 10 employees at a recognition dinner for their years of service.

Honored were Cathy Rippeon, 25 years; Emma Moses, 20 years; Max Price, 15 years; William Fleagle, Perry Hudkins, Sue Johnson, Lydia Walker, 10 years; and Kathleen Campanella, Jerry Duble, Don Padgett, five years.

Owned by the Church of the Brethren, the center operates five nonprofit organizations to assist people in need around the world.

Fires

Taneytown: Firefighters from Taneytown and Harney assisted Adams County, Pa., at 2: 18 p.m. Thursday on a house fire in the 1900 block of Frederick Pike. Units were out 90 minutes.
