Full recovery expected for injured woman

A Manchester woman injured in a machine shop accident suffered serious lacerations and fractured bones in two fingers, officials at Fairlawn Tool and Die in Hampstead said yesterday.

Sandra J. Nunn, 36, of the 3900 block of Schalk Road No. 1 is expected to make a full recovery, said Kathleen Barber, vice president of corporate operations for Fairlawn.

Emergency workers called for a state MedEvac helicopter to take Nunn to the Raymond M. Curtis Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore after the accident at 9: 30 a.m. Monday.

Nunn was operating an assembly machine when the accident occurred, police said.

Hearing on bid to rezone Brodbeck Road parcel set

The County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the County Office Building on a petition to change the zoning on a parcel in Hampstead.

H. M. Mall Associates Limited Partnership filed a request to change 11.6 acres on Brodbeck Road from residential zoning to a general business district.

The property is on the north side of Brodbeck Road east of Ralph Dell Road.

The hearing will be held in the lower-level conference room of the County Office Building, 225 N. Center St., Westminster. Information: 410-386-2030.
