The Naval Academy announced yesterday that junior forward Sitapha Savane has been suspended from playing in the team's two exhibition games and first two regular-season games for violating academy regulations.

Projected as a starter, Savane, a native of Senegal, averaged 5.4 points and 4.4 rebounds as a key reserve for the Midshipmen last season, when he was elected to the Patriot League All-Rookie team.
