Restaurant closes temporarily after fire

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health closed an Annapolis restaurant temporarily because of an emergency that occurred during the inspections period from Sept. 16 to Sept. 30.

Chesapeake Bagel Bakery, 2538 Solomon's Island Road in Annapolis, was closed because of a fire but reopened Sept. 20.

Health workers inspected 106 restaurants and other food service establishments during the period and found 16 with critical food safety violations that were immediately corrected.

They found multiple violations at one place.

The Peking Star at 685 Old Mill Road in Millersville was cited for not cooling food properly and not holding food at the right temperature.
