YWCA offers program on home-based business

The YWCA of Anne Arundel County is sponsoring a program on home-based businesses for the 21st century from 6: 30 p.m. to 8: 30 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday at the YWCA, Career Services, 1517 Ritchie Highway, Arnold.

The event is designed to help people discover if they have an entrepreneurial personality. Business owners will discuss time management and business plans and how to start a home-based business.

The program is free to current YWCA Career Service clients or $40 for nonmembers.

SCORE workshop covers business ownership

SCORE Chapter 390 will conduct a two-evening workshop on how to start and manage a business from 6: 15 p.m. to 9: 30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 28 at Heritage Office Complex, 2664 Riva Road, second floor, Chesapeake Room, Annapolis.

The six key steps toward starting a business will be presented by six speakers, with time allowed for questions. This workshop is designed for those who are thinking of starting a business or who have just started one and have questions or problems.

The fee is $35.

Business partnership sponsors breakfast meeting

The BWI Business Partnership Inc. is sponsoring a Spirit of Success Breakfast Meeting at 7: 45 a.m Oct. 15 at Fort Meade Officers' Club.

Featured will be Army Col. John D. Frketic, garrison commander.

The meeting is free for members, $25 for nonmembers.

Entrepreneurs group schedules meeting

The Entrepreneurs Exchange Inc. will feature Morgan Hall at its monthly luncheon meeting Wednesday at Busch's Chesapeake Inn in Annapolis.

Networking at 11: 30 a.m. will be followed by luncheon at noon.

The meeting costs $15 for members with reservations and $18 for walk-ins and nonmembers.
