A suspect sought on a charge of attempted murder was arrested in an unlikely place yesterday -- a stretch limousine stopped by authorities in West Baltimore as it left a church wedding.
Kevin Williams, 23, was arrested at Edmondson and Athol avenues by a team of city sheriff's deputies, police and FBI agents. Williams, whose address was not available, was wanted on two warrants charging him with attempted murder and handgun violations.
"We got a call from someone who said that he was in a wedding and we waited until the wedding was over and the scene was clear and the suspect was arrested," said David Dangelis, a spokesman for the sheriff's office.
It appeared Williams was not only a wanted man: Dangelis said authorities were told he had been the best man at the ceremony.
