Terp women routed by No. 5 Florida No. 20 Maryland overmatched, 7-2

Senior forward Danielle Fotopoulos scored four goals and freshman forward Abby Wambach added two and an assist to power visiting No. 5 Florida past No. 20 Maryland, 7-2, in women's college soccer at Ludwig Field last night.

Fotopoulos has 97 goals in 73 career games, ranking fifth all-time in NCAA Division I history.

Maryland (6-4-0) suffered its first loss in its last six games. Florida (9-0-0) outshot the Terps, 15-7.

Fotopoulos scored the first goal of the game at the 3: 39 mark and recorded her first hat trick of the season before the first half was over. She added goals at the 14: 54 and 30: 34 marks. Wambach, who has five goals in the last two games, added both of her goals in the first half as well.

Emmy Harbo scored both of Maryland's goals and Keri Sarver added an assist.
