The Westminster Fire Engine and Hose Company put its new ladder truck into service yesterday and retired its 1969 truck.
The Emergency One HP105 has a 105-foot aerial platform ladder and cost $683,000 that was funded with a county bond, said Jay Nusbaum, a member of the ladder truck committee.
The fire department has had the truck for some time but has been training its personnel to drive and operate it.
