One of two eastbound lanes of Main Street in front of Westminster's Fire Department will be closed tomorrow so work crews can remove gasoline tanks from the firehouse, police said.

The tanks, lying under concrete, will be moved to the new firehouse under construction on John Street. The new facility is expected to open next month.

The left-turn lane will be open for eastbound traffic, police said.

"The Fire Department anticipates that the work will take no more than a day to complete," said Police Chief Sam R. Leppo.
