Athletics: The team honored Rickey Henderson before the game for becoming the sixth player in major league history to score 2,000 runs. He scored his 100th run of this season Wednesday.

Blue Jays: Craig Grebeck had a season-high four hits. 40,268 were in attendance for Roger Clemens' final start of the season. Clemens gave up more than three runs for the first time in 17 starts.

Mariners: Jeff Fassero surrendered his 33rd home run of the season, two short of the club record given up by Scott Bankhead in 1987. Edgar Martinez has 46 doubles, most for the team.
