Little Professor store to display banned books for annual event GE SOUTHEAST * Sykesville * Eldersburg * Gamber

Little Professor Book Center in Eldersburg will participate in the 17th annual Banned Books Week tomorrow to Oct. 3.

Banned Books Week is a campaign against censorship. This week, Little Professor will display books that have been challenged or banned in the United States.

According to the American Library Association, some frequently banned or challenged books include R. L. Stine's "Goosebumps" series, Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," Maya Angelou's "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" and J. D. Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye."
