Southeastern District
Arrest: A New York man was arrested yesterday in Highlandtown and charged with possession of a kilo of cocaine valued at $100,000. Lt. George Klein said the man was traced to East Baltimore yesterday and was arrested by police and federal drug agents who staked out the area and saw him place the cocaine in his car. Klein declined to disclose any other details, including the man's identity, pending the arrest of others connected to the suspect.
Southern District
Burglary: Compact discs valued at more than $1,300 were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1200 block of William St.
Central District
Theft/arrests: Two men were arrested Wednesday and charged with stealing jewelry valued at $4,000 from Touba Gold, a jewelry store in the 200 block of N. Howard St. Both men were arrested inside the store.
Burglary: Antique furniture valued at $5,000 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1000 block of N. Calvert St.
North Point Precinct
Burglary: Diamond rings, a Sony PlayStation and electronic games, all valued at nearly $1,400, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 7900 block of St. Clare Lane.
Parkville Precinct
Burglary: Jewelry and stereo equipment, all valued at more than $1,200, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the first block of Stanrock Court.

Suspect arrested: Andre Chapple, 18, of the 1700 block of Ramsay St., was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the death of Anthony Whittley, 40, who was shot near his home in the 2000 block of W. Pratt St. on March 31. Police said the shooting was retaliation for an earlier assault. They said Chapple is being held without bail.
