Review: The front nine is wide open, but the back nine is tighter. Water comes into play on five holes. The tees and fairways are ryegrass; the greens, bent grass.

A sister course of Hickory Heights (same ownership) in Spring Grove, Pa., this one was built because of what at the time was a need for courses in the area.

Overall, this is a forgiving layout that will challenge the good players with some long par-4's, including ones of 461 yards and 439 yards. At the same time, the openness presents a course any golfer can play, providing it is from the tees commensurate with the player's ability.
