Southern District
Thefts: Two bicycles valued at $300 were stolen from the backyard of a house in the 1700 block of Clarkson St. on Tuesday.
Robbery: A man, 52, was in the first block of W. Ropewalk Lane about noon Tuesday when he was assaulted by two men who stole a bag he was carrying containing clothing. The victim suffered knee and arm injuries.
Eastern District
Robbery: A man, 51, was in the 1600 block of E. North Ave. about 5: 10 p.m. Tuesday when he was robbed of $17 by a man who implied he was armed with a knife.
Northwestern District
Stolen car: A 1995 gold-colored Lexus with tags DHB 145 was stolen Tuesday in the 3300 block of W. Rogers Ave.
Northern District
Theft from vehicle: A purse containing a wallet and four $50 money orders was stolen from a 1997 Mazda parked in the 3400 block of Old York Road on Tuesday.
Robbery: A woman, 86, was in the 3500 block of Greenmount Ave. about 3 p.m. Tuesday when a teen-age male struck her and stole a bag she was carrying that contained clothing valued at $50.
Essex Precinct
Robbery: A girl, 15, was in the 1000 block of S. Marlyn Ave. on Tuesday when a man forced her into a nearby woods and robbed her of her jewelry and a bag.
Parkville Precinct
Burglary: A power washer machine valued at more than $2,000 was stolen from a shed in the 3500 block of Orbitan Road on Monday.
Towson Precinct
Robbery: A boy, 9, was at the intersection of Sherwood and Beechwood roads about 7 p.m. Tuesday when a older boy
threatened him with a knife, knocked him off his bicycle and stole it. The bike was valued at more than $100.
Wilkens Precinct
BTC Burglary: Tools of unknown value were stolen Tuesday from Morsberger Development Inc. in the first block of Smith Lane by someone who entered at a window.

Victim identified: Police identified the man shot to death about midnight Tuesday in the 2900 block of E. Preston St. in East Baltimore as Derrick Cortez Bailey, 26, of the 1200 block of N. Curley St. Police said that Bailey died from a gunshot wound to the head, no arrest had been made and a motive for the killing was not known.
