Jeanne Laudermilch of New Windsor has been named the winner of the first photography contest for the cover of the 1999 Carroll County Calendar of Events.

Her image of the Diehlman Inn on a fall day was chosen from nearly 30 entries.

"The photograph is stunning and depicts both the natural beauty and architectural beauty of our county," said Barbara Beverungen, manager of tourism for Carroll County and a judge.

Laudermilch will receive a $100 prize and a photo credit on the brochure.
