Angels: The team is 4-0 at Tropicana Field with Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax in attendance.

Athletics: Kenny Rogers' next start will be No. 33, tying his career-high, set with Texas in 1993. When Buddy Groom entered yesterday's game starting the sixth, he became the first pitcher in team history to pitch in 70 or more games in three straight seasons.

Mariners: Ken Griffey entered yesterday's game with a .195 average, one homer and five RBIs against the Twins this season.

Royals: The fireworks that are supposed to go off behind the scoreboard in Kansas City when the Royals homer were accidentally set off when the Athletics' A. J. Hinch homered in the third. The small crowd booed loudly as Hinch circled the bases.

Twins: Manager Tom Kelly was ejected yesterday for the first time since June 9, 1990. Paul Molitor has won the seventh Branch Rickey Award for outstanding community service. Yesterday's announced attendance was 8,024, but the crowd was closer to 3,000.
