Carroll County's District and Circuit courts were evacuated for about 90 minutes yesterday after an anonymous caller warned that a bomb was in the courthouse, authorities said.
The historic court building and annex on Court Street were evacuated at 9: 21 a.m., along with a day care center across Greenwood Avenue.
The buildings were searched using explosive-sniffing dogs from the Maryland State Police and the Westminster Police Department.
No explosives were found, and court business resumed at 10: 55 a.m., officials said.
An investigation is continuing, police said.
