Crofton church, Arundel High develop Web sites

THE BALTIMORE SUN

TWO LOCAL institutions have joined the move to the World Wide Web, Crofton's Prince of Peace Church and Arundel High School.

The church's Web site was organized by David Fries, a member of the parish, as an Eagle Scout project. David, 15, worked with church members for a year and a half to create a Web site that would best respond to the needs of the parish.

Visitors to the site will find worship service schedules, messages from the Rev. Jon B. M. Fregger, and information about church activities, including music, missions, Boy Scouts, day care and Alcohol ics Anonymous meetings. The church newsletter, Church Mouse, also is posted on the Web.

For more information on the latest happenings at Prince of Peace, visit the Web site at www.popchurch.ogr.

Arundel High's Web site -- www.arundelhigh.ml.org -- contains practical information about the school, such as class times, school calendars, athletic team results and academic awards.

Arundel alumni from all over the country have been posting messages on the site's bulletin board. And an alumni directory is being developed in preparation for the school's 50th anniversary next spring.

Several other features are being planned for the site, including the school newsletter and other tools to improve communication within the Arundel High School community.

Women's group to meet

The Christian German-American Women's Group will hold its first meeting of the fall at noon Monday in the Chapel Center on Grandea Avenue at Fort Meade. The agenda will include a time of praise and reflection, followed by a German lunch and fellowship, music and crafts. Women who are interested in the German culture and language are invited.
