Running backs

Jay Graham ran harder than he did all preseason but still needs to be more decisive. Starter Errict Rhett looked slow and sluggish at times, seemingly hitting the holes a split second too late. -- C-

Quarterbacks

Jim Harbaugh had nervous feet and moved around in the pocket when there was no pressure. Backup Eric Zeier threw well and had some nice touch passes. -- C+

Receivers

This wasn't a great day for any one receiver, but the Ravens spread it around with Eric Green and Michael Jackson having clutch catches. Now, if they would only get the ball to Jermaine Lewis more -- C+

Offensive linemen

Left guard Wally Williams played well, especially when he had to pull or trap block, but left tackle Jonathan Ogden was flagged twice for holding and center Jeff Mitchell had some problems. -- C

Defensive linemen

This is the team's strongest unit. Tackles Tony Siragusa and James Jones got good penetration up front and the ends contained running back Curtis Martin. There aren't many tackles in the league playing as well as Siragusa. -- B+

Linebackers

Ray Lewis turned in another stellar effort and Peter Boulware was consistent. Tyrus McCloud may have had the play of the game when he stuffed Martin for no gain on second-and-goal at the 1-yard line in the second quarter. -- B

Defensive backs

The Ravens had three interceptions, and cornerback Rod Woodson has fans saying, "Antonio Who?" But the Ravens still gave up too many intermediate to long-range passes in the second quarter. -- C+

Special teams

Punter Kyle Richardson was inconsistent and kicker Matt Stover PTC missed one of two field-goal attempts. The Ravens did a nice job on coverage and Jermaine Lewis had a punt return for a touchdown. The big negative: Bennie Thompson's boneheaded unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the second half. -- C
