A one-car accident in southeastern Howard County yesterday morning left a Laurel man hospitalized in serious condition, police said. Patrick James Michael Nelson, 19, of the 13000 block of Saratoga Ave., suffered a broken arm and pelvis in the accident. No one else was injured.

According to Howard County police, Nelson was eastbound on Harding Road, east of Scotts Landing Road, when he lost control of his 1993 Ford Escort on a curve and crashed into several trees.
