Police seek 2 men accused in robberies Electric shears taken from beauty supply stores

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Baltimore County police are seeking two men wanted in a rash of robberies of Sally's Beauty Supply stores in the Baltimore region.

Wanted are Charles Louis Adams, 33, of the 4900 block of New Market Turner Road in Mechanicsville and Derrick Christopher Lanham, 31, of the 2300 block of Firehouse Road in Landover.

The men are wanted in the robbery of Sally's Beauty Supply store in Timonium on Tuesday, police said.

Police said they suspect the men were involved in two similar robberies in Fullerton and Carney on Wednesday.

In those robberies, an unarmed man demanded that clerks fill a bag with electric hair shears, police said.

An accomplice was waiting in a nearby car, police said.

In the past month, at least a dozen beauty supply store robberies have been reported in Prince George's and Anne Arundel counties, police said.

In most of those cases, robbers took scissors, too, police said.

Police and a spokesman for Sally's Beauty Supply store have said the robbers were probably selling the shears and scissors, which cost between $54 and $100, at flea markets.

Sally's Beauty Supply has 34 stores in the Baltimore region.
