The state school superintendent, Nancy S. Grasmick, will talk to parents about changes in Maryland's classrooms during a statewide public forum Sept. 14 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Parents will be able to work on sample questions from the Maryland School Performance Assessment Program tests given each year to all third-, fifth- and eighth-graders, and a panel of parents, teachers and principals will talk about the tests.
Grasmick will also discuss proposed high school tests, changes in approaches to teaching and learning, and continuing training for teachers. The forum will run from 6 p.m. to 8: 30 p.m. in the
