County Commissioners to hold meeting on road improvements

The County Commissioners will hold a public meeting to address proposed improvements to Monroe Avenue in Eldersburg at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the County Office Building.

Residents of Monroe Avenue between Liberty and Ridge roads have asked the county to take steps to reduce speeding.

A petition has asked for safety measures along a curve and three-way stop signs at Monroe and Sherryl avenues.

County Department of Public Works staff has recommended edge marking and center-line delineation to remind drivers to stay in their lane.

The County Commissioners want to hear what residents think about Monroe Avenue and ways to improve safety.

The meeting will be held in the lower-level conference room of the County Office Building, 225 N. Center St., Westminster.

Entry is at the northeast side ground-level doors.
