Red Sox: Troy O'Leary extended his hitting streak to 12 games.

Tigers: Tony Clark sat out with a hyper-extended left elbow, an injury that occurred during pre-game practice. Frank Catalanotto started at first base in place of Clark, who was listed as day-to-day.
