The Howard County Historical Society will sponsor a cash prize contest to promote research on places, people, events or organizations related to Howard County.

Entries must be researched and documented histories with a bibliography and footnotes. Community, church, school, family and corporate histories are acceptable. Oral history projects and photographic documentaries will be considered if they include documentation.

The deadline for submissions has not been set, but it will be no earlier than December 1999.
