BOWIE -- Desperately needing a victory last night to refuel their flickering Eastern League playoff hopes, the Bowie Baysox blew a 3-0 lead and lost, 5-3, to one of the teams they must overtake, Harrisburg, before 3,672 at Prince George's Stadium.
Bowie (63-68) is 4 1/2 games behind the Senators, the Southern Division's second-place team, and three behind third-place Trenton.
The Baysox scored on a two-run homer by Tim Clark and a throwing error.
Bowie has three more games left with Harrisburg and must now sweep them to remain a legitimate threat for the playoffs.
