Ruth Ling Wilson, a former employee of Bendix Radio in Baltimore, died of complications of cancer Thursday at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby, N.C. She was 78.

The native of Grundy, Va., moved to East Baltimore in 1939 and worked for many years as an inspector for Bendix Radio. She moved to Lattimore, N.C., in 1979.

In 1954, she married Ben Wilson, then a merchant seaman.

Funeral services were held Sunday in North Carolina. She is survived by her husband; a son, James Spence, of Littlestown, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
