Audrey W. Woodard, 64 aide at Arundel Elementary

Audrey Willette Woodard, a paraprofessional in the Baltimore public school system for 27 years, died of cardiac arrest Friday at St. Agnes Healthcare. She was 64 and lived in Baltimore.

The former Audrey Turner, who was born in South Baltimore, attended Carver Vocational-Technical High School. She joined Arundel Elementary School in 1968 and retired in 1995.

She was married to the late Charles Woodard Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hemingway Temple AME Church, 2701 Woodview Road.

She is survived by five daughters, LaVerne Steele, Sharlene Woodard, Renee Martin, Duanelle Woodard and Brigitte Woodard; two sons, Michael Ballard and Charles Woodard Jr.; and a sister, Doris Woodard, all of Baltimore; two brothers, William Turner of Baltimore and Elmer Turner of New York; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
