Southwestern District
Shooting/carjacking: Two men were being sought after they shot RTC a man and stole his 1995 Ford Aerostar van with tags 965814M during an attempted robbery in the 2600 block of Queen Anne Road in Windsor Hills about 9: 25 p.m. Sunday. Police found the man lying on the front lawn of a house with bullet wounds to the body and head. He was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Northwestern District
Robbery: A man carrying a small black case that he said contained a bomb tried to rob the Dunkin' Donuts store in the 7000 block of Reisterstown Road about 9 p.m. Sunday. But an employee told him she could not open the cash register without the manager's permission. The man then robbed a female customer of $22 and fled.
Western District
Arrest: Police responding to cries for help from a house in the 200 block of N. Carey St. about 3 a.m. yesterday entered the dwelling and arrested a man armed with a knife who was about to rob the male occupant, 53. The suspect, 40, was charged with aggravated assault and attempted armed robbery and was being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center.
Eastern District
Shooting: A man, 25, was sitting on the front steps of a house in the 1800 block of Hope St. about midnight Sunday when he heard gunshots and felt a pain in his right foot. He ran a block south to the 1200 block of E. Lafayette Ave., where he was found by police. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for a wound to the foot and released.
Robbery: Two men robbed a man, 20, of $1.35 Saturday in the 2400 block of E. Madison St., then struck him in the head with the butt of a handgun. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Northern District
Theft: Antique jewelry worth at least $2,000 was stolen Sunday from a house in the 400 block of Wingate Road.
Baltimore County
White Marsh Precinct
Burglary: Furniture, clothing, cash and jewelry were stolen from an apartment in the first block of Dunsinane Drive during the weekend.
Burglary: More than $400 was stolen from the Schmidt Bakery store in the 7800 block of Rossville Blvd. overnight Saturday.
Cockeysville Precinct
Burglary: Two rifles, a shotgun, cash, a gas can and alcoholic beverages, all valued at more than $1,300, were stolen from a house in the 1300 block of Rayville Road in mid-July. The burglary was reported Sunday.
