Jail fight ends with 7 officers hurt, prisoner in hospital

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A fight between cellmates turned into a brawl yesterday afternoon at Baltimore County's Woodlawn Precinct. Seven police officers and one of the prisoners were injured, authorities said.

Police said they found one inmate with another in a choke hold and repeatedly used pepper spray in the struggle to separate the men. The officers were treated for cuts and bruises at Sinai Hospital.

The injured prisoner, Irren Titus Munjodzi, 22, address unknown, was being held on charges of attempted murder and first-degree assault for allegedly trying to run down an officer with a car Friday night. He was listed in stable condition.
