Sykesville: Firefighters responded at 8: 37 p.m. Saturday to a fire alarm in the 1400 block of Progress Way. Units were out 17 minutes.

Eldersburg: A resident of Carrolltown Village reported to Westminster City Police on Friday that someone stole her purse while she was at the Mission Thrift Store at 57 E. Main St., Westminster. Loss was estimated at $110.
