Southern District
Theft: Police were seeking a known suspect in the theft of more than $8,000 and a diamond and ruby ring valued at nearly $3,000 from a house in the 300 block of S. Woodyear St. between Thursday and Saturday.
Burglary: Power tools and stereo equipment, all valued at $800, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 1400 block of William St.
Theft: Stereo equipment and a compact disc player, all valued at nearly $1,200, were stolen Saturday from a locker at Public Storage in the 1000 block of W. Patapsco Ave.
Burglary: Computer equipment valued at nearly $6,000 was stolen from a Maryland Stadium Authority office at the Ravens stadium in the 1100 block of Russell St. between July 30 and Friday.
Stolen vehicle: A rented 1997 Nissan with tags BRE 214 was stolen Saturday in the 100 block of E. West St.
Central District
Theft: A compact disc player, credit cards and cash, all valued at more than $400, were stolen from a car parked in the 300 block of W. Lombard St. on Saturday.
Theft from vehicle: Property valued at more than $2,000 was stolen Saturday from a 1998 Ford parked in the first block of W. Franklin St.
Burglary: A videocassette recorder, jewelry and compact discs, all valued at nearly $400, were stolen Friday from a house in the 2200 block of Eutaw Place.
Theft: A cellular phone and a power saw, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen from a 1996 Chrysler van parked Saturday in the first block of S. Calvert St.
Theft from vehicle: A camcorder and several camcorder accessories, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a 1978 motor home parked in the 100 block of Market Place on Saturday.
Theft: A radio, sunglasses and other property, all valued at $500, were stolen from a 1990 Honda parked Saturday in the 200 block of E. Eager St.
Parkville Precinct
Arson: A vacant house in the 9300 block of Simms Road was set on fire about 3 a.m. Saturday. Police said damage to the dwelling was extensive and that firefighters who responded reported no injuries.
North Point Precinct
Robbery: A woman, 55, was in the 100 block of Avon Beach Road about 10 p.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $180.
Towson Precinct
Burglary: Someone entered a shed in the 800 block of Scarlett Drive overnight Friday and stole two mountain bikes of unknown value.
Cockeysville Precinct
Robbery: A woman was in the first block of New Forest Court about 11 a.m. Saturday when a man asked her for directions. Before the woman could respond, the man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $150, and fled.
Woodlawn Precinct
Theft: Someone stole a Baltimore Ravens jersey and other sports clothing, all valued at about $70, from the Sports Authority store in the 6500 block of Baltimore National Pike.
Vandalism: Police were seeking a man who shattered the front glass door of Video Wonderland in the 6600 block of Baltimore National Pike about 5 p.m. Saturday, causing $300 damage. Police said the suspect sells flowers in the area and is known to merchants there.
Robbery: A 7-year-old boy was riding his 18-inch bike, valued at $200, in the 7400 block of Lasada Drive on Saturday when an older male stole it.
Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player and coins, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen from a 1994 Nissan Altima parked Saturday in the 6900 block of Security Blvd.
Wilkens Precinct
Rape: A woman, 33, was walking on Briarwood Road about 1: 20 a.m. Saturday when a man armed with a knife grabbed her from behind, forced her down an alley and raped her in the back yard of a house. The woman was treated at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center rape crisis center and released.
