Pregnant woman taken to hospital after being shot

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A 32-year-old pregnant woman was taken to North Arundel Hospital Friday after being shot, police said.

She had been driven to the hospital by her 37-year-old sister, a Glen Burnie resident. The two women told Anne Arundel police that they had gone to Arwell Court in Severn to buy crack cocaine when they were approached by four or five men who made sexual advances toward them and tried to restrain them.

The women told police that the victim was shot when they tried to run away from the men.

The victim had been hit in the back, arm and leg with shotgun pellets. She was treated at the hospital and released, police said.

Police said they are looking for suspects.
