Dorothy Carnegie Rivkin, 85, who succeeded her husband, Dale Carnegie, as head of the self-improvement empire that bore his name, died in New York on Thursday after a long illness. Her business skills complemented her husband's talent for motivational speaking, and she made the Dale Carnegie Training company into a multinational success after his death in 1955.
