1997 Kendall-Jackson Sauvignon Blanc Vintner's Reserve ($10).

This dry white wine offers rich flavors of figs, melons, peach, pear, wood smoke and herbs. With its rounded, oak-mellowed texture, this is a sauvignon blanc that is well-suited for serving with salmon or swordfish. There's a hint of residual sugar - a Kendall-Jackson trademark - but not so much that the wine doesn't qualify as dry.
