Swimming competition

Three Crofton swimmers are spending this week in Nashville, Tenn., where they are competing in the YMCA National Long Course Championships.

David Fries, Katie Wagner and Anna Kavetsky earned their places in the competition by meeting rigorous standards in the SPY Aquatics Center swim program in Severna Park.

Swimming in a national championship is a goal that young athletes work toward all year. They look forward to meeting and competing against dedicated swimmers from YMCA programs across the country.

On Friday night, after the competition is over, the swimmers will celebrate at Planet Hollywood restaurant in Nashville.
