Mount Airy: Firefighters responded to a brush fire on Interstate 70 near the scale house at 3: 42 p.m. Thursday. Units were out 18 minutes.

Winfield: Firefighters assisted Sykesville at 2: 55 p.m. Thursday, responding to a struck gas line in the 5300 block of Enterprise St. Units were out an hour and 18 minutes.

Mount Airy: Firefighters assisted Howard County at 9: 07 p.m. Thursday, responding to a house struck by lightning in the 800 block of Long Corner Road. Units were out 31 minutes.
