55-degree low at BWI breaks 41-year mark cool nights to linger

Yesterday's low temperature of 55 degrees in the Baltimore area broke the 41-year-old record of 57 degrees, the National Weather Service in Sterling, Va. reported.

The weather service said the record low was recorded at 6: 17 a.m. at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

The weather service predicted the trend will continue and said early morning lows between 60 degrees and 65 degrees are expected over the next few days.
