Westminster has contracted with Gray & Son Inc. of Butler to mill and overlay the surface of Uniontown Road between Royer Road and Johahn Drive.

Work is scheduled to begin next week. Traffic flow and access to driveways and parking lots will be maintained through flagging operations during construction.

Street parking will temporarily be prohibited in the work zone as construction progresses from west of Royer Road east toward Johahn Drive. The project is expected to be completed by Aug. 26, weather permitting.

Reese: Firefighters from Reese and Gamber responded at 9: 12 p.m. Wednesday to a house fire in the 3200 block of Murray Road. Units were out 20 minutes.

Reese: Firefighters responded at 8: 44 p.m. Wednesday to a pole fire on Baltimore Boulevard. Units were out 12 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters responded at 1: 38 p.m. Wednesday to a cleanup detail on Bachman Valley Road. Units were out 35 minutes.

Reese: Firefighters responded at 9: 04 a.m. Wednesday to a tractor fire on North Emory Road. Units were out 45 minutes.
