Gunman steals money, clothes from Annapolis store


A man walked into an Annapolis clothing store before noon Wednesday, pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money, county police said.

The employee of the Casual Male store in the 2000 block of West St. told police she handed over an unknown amount of money from the cash drawer, then followed the gunman's instructions to lie down in a back room.

The gunman escaped on foot, taking the money and some clothes, police said.

Man with knife robs pizza deliveryman

A man armed with a knife robbed a pizza deliveryman of an undetermined amount of money late Wednesday as the employee returned to his shop in Odenton, county police said.

The deliveryman got out of his car near Pizza Boli in the 1300 block of Blair Road about 11 p.m., and a man approached, put a knife to his side and demanded money. The deliveryman turned over his money, and the assailant fled in a dark vehicle, police said.

Two men hold up Glen Burnie restaurant

Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a Glen Burnie pizza restaurant during a busy dinner period Wednesday, county police said.

The men walked into the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway about 6: 45 p.m. and forced the manager to empty the cash registers, then fled with an undetermined amount of money.

Snowball stand robbed by two men, one with gun

Two men, one armed with a silver handgun, robbed a Glen Burnie snowball stand of an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday, county police said.

A 15-year-old clerk at Big Fat Daddy's Snowballs in the first block of Crain Court told police she handed over money to the two men.

The men fled in a blue Plymouth Neon, police said.

Police arrest man, woman in Glen Burnie drug raid

County police arrested a Glen Burnie man and woman on drug charges Tuesday after finding small amounts of marijuana and cocaine, scales and packaging material for drugs in their home.

Police said they obtained a search warrant for the home in the 7900 block of Solley Road after neighbors complained.

Police charged Christopher Bannister, 22, of the Solley Road address, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheila Russo, 21, of the same address, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.

They were released on their own recognizance.
