Indians: Cleveland batted .125 (4-for-32) with runners in scoring position in the series, including 0-for-8 with Kenny Lofton's sacrifice fly yesterday.

Royals: Kansas City's five-run first was its highest-scoring first inning of the season. The previous high was four on two occasions. Jose Offerman is hitting .439 (25-for-57) during his hitting streak. He is tied with Shane Mack for the team's longest hitting streak of the season. Mack hit in 15 straight games from April 10-26.
