Central District

Arrest: Police arrested the owner of a health and beauty store in the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Ave. yesterday and planned to charge him last night with possession of a stolen handgun and possession of paraphernalia suspected of being used to package narcotics. No narcotics were found, but Officers Kenneth Ramberg and Vincent Fox seized plastic vials, glassine capsules, small plastic baggies and scales. Charges against the 40-year-old owner of the store were pending.

Shooting: A man, 31, was shot in the left leg while standing on the fire escape of a dwelling in the 2200 block of Eutaw Place about noon yesterday. He was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and released.

Theft: Nearly $2,000 was stolen Wednesday from a safe in Central Parking System in the 100 block of S. Calvert St.

Western District

Shooting: A male, 17, was riding a bicycle in the first block of Gorman Ave. about 4 p.m. yesterday when a man shot him in both legs. He was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Northern District

Burglary: Clothing, electronic games, jewelry and watches, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 700 block of E. 39th St.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 35, was in the 1600 block of Four Georges Court about 1 p.m. Wednesday when a man she knows robbed her of nearly $800 worth of jewelry.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A purse containing $40 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 3000 block of Oak Forest Drive while the occupant slept.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Surgical instruments valued at $2,000 were stolen from Dulaney Eye Institute in the 900 block of Dulaney Valley Road overnight July 16. The burglary was reported Wednesday.
